We’ve updated the notification sign-up process to make it more user-friendly. Why? We realized it was too complicated for new users, and we're always looking for ways to improve. Now, signing up is quicker and easier with fewer steps, while still offering the same great functionality. Don’t worry—any existing notifications you’ve set will automatically carry over to the new system without any action needed from you.
Notifications are designed to alert individuals immediately when specific actions occur. There are several ways people typically use them, including:
Nurses/MA: 'I want to be notified about any updates in the provider's room I'm assigned to.'
Providers: 'I want to know when the nurse needs to reach me.'
Managers: 'I need alerts for emergencies across multiple departments.'
Sign up by selecting your profile button in the top right hand corner and choosing 'Notifications'.
From there, select 'Create New' to get started.
Choose the action icons for which you'd like to receive notifications. For example, if you're an MA and want to be notified when the MA icon is selected or when a patient arrives, simply select those specific actions.
Next, choose the rooms where you'd like to receive notifications for your selected action icons. You can select individual users' rooms, entire departments, or entire sites:
Specific Users' Rooms: Ideal if you're working directly with a provider or are a provider, so you only receive updates for activities in those specific rooms.
Entire Departments: Ideal if you oversee a department, like a manager, lead, or security staff, allowing you to stay informed on activity across all rooms within that department.
Entire Sites: Perfect for safety notifications (such as emergency codes) if you oversee multiple departments and need updates site-wide, ensuring you’re informed no matter where you are.
Finally, choose how you'd like to receive your notifications: options include text message, phone call, desktop app alert, mobile app alert, or Microsoft Teams.
