Check EHR Mapping
Does the provider exist in SyncTimes?
Is the provider "linked" in SyncTimes?
Does the provider have assigned rooms in the corresponding department?
Should the provider be "locked" to that department?
Use a patient MRN to search EHR Message History in the Patient History Report in SyncTimes
Is SyncTimes receiving the right messages?
Was the patient "imported"?
If the patient was "not imported", why?
Was the patient not "checked in" by the front desk team?
Were their duplicate appointments?
First, check to see that the RaspPi in the back is getting power. If it is, you'll notice that lights will be on.
If there isn't power there, check to see if there is power to the POE splitter. Again, you should see a light on the POE splitter itself.
If either of these aren't getting power, try unplugging and replugging them back in.
If that still doesn't pull the flowstation up, consult a SyncTimes representative who can further troubleshoot the issue with you.
Check for loose plugs (power and HDMI)
Power to switch
Cat5 to flowstation
Ensure the flowstation configuration includes a SyncTimes URL (rather than a website)
Reset the device from the switch (SyncTimes Admins only)
Reset the device using the keyboard and Alt+F4
You will see this screen if there is a problem with the SD card in the RaspPi
If you see this screen, try taking the SD card out from the RaspPi in the back and replugging it back in
If there are still issues, contact SyncTimes to send a replacement SD card
This screen should pop up if a flowstation hasn't been configured for a space yet. To configure a flowstation, send a picture of the green screen to a SyncTimes representative and they will configure the flowstation for you
After it is configured, the screen should look like a normal flowstation screen
These instructions detail how to switch the audio output on MELE devices from the HDMI audio (connected to a TV) to the audio jack (headphones/3.5mm). This allows customers to route alerts from the Flowstation to an external sound system, such as speakers.
First, use the keyboard and mouse to take control of the Flowstation's computer. A connected mini keyboard will work great! Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are working by seeing if a pointer is on the screen when you move the mouse or your finger on the trackpad.
Next, access the Flowstation's MELE device's settings by using the mouse or trackpad to move the pointer to the top-right of the screen.
The operating system's controls should appear as you hover over this corner. Select the small "audio" icon.
A small menu should appear. Click on "Audio mixer...", as seen below:
The "Volume Control: window will come up with 5 tabs at the top: Playback, Recording, Output Devices, Input Devices, and Configuration. Click on the "Configuration" tab.
It should now look like this, with the Built-in Audio Profile: "Digital Stereo HDMI Output" with drop-down options.
Click on the "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output" drop-down, go all the way to the bottom, and select "Off". This will disable the audio output through the HDMI port (the tv speakers)
Next, plug the audio/speaker cable into the audio jack. The audio jack is located on the back of the device and looks like this: (small headphones icon)
Return to the TV to complete the configuration. Within the same "Volume Control" window, click on the "Output Devices" tab.
The screen should look like this, with the output device (ATE1133 Analog Stereo) and the port being "Analog Output":
The volume can be adjusted here. Each time you adjust the volume slider, a sound will play so you can test the volume level and that your speakers are working. Volume can also adjusted from the speaker buttons or external source, but think of this as the master volume.
Once happy with the volume settings, click the small black "X" in the Volume Control window to dismiss it.
Everything should now be back to normal operation. If something looks wrong, reboot the device in order to get the Flowstation software running again.
These audio settings will remain as we left them even if the system reboots (including the nightly maintenance reboots). If we want to change it back to HDMI output, we can go back to the Configuration tab and change the HDMI output back from off to the very top option (default).
