Network Requirements

This page outlines the options for providing the SyncTimes system with internet access.

Requirements

• Fill out this form when the network connection is complete for the SyncTimes site

• Minimum speeds: 20Mbps down, 10Mbps up

• Preferred speeds: 50Mbps down, 25Mbps up

• SyncTimes network equipment and devices are cloud-managed. No public ports need to be accessible from outside the network.

• SyncTimes will handle DHCP for all SyncTimes network devices, connected modem (if applicable) should not function as a firewall or router

Option 1: Direct to Dedicated ISP Circuit

This is the preferred method. SyncTimes connects directly to a new ISP circuit, either with an available static public IP address, or with DHCP. Client provides SyncTimes with applicable public IP address, gateway, and mask. This method is completely isolated from client networks.

Option 2: Connect to Client's ISP Circuit

SyncTimes connects to an existing ISP with an available static public IP address via a client switch or multiple ports from the modem. Client provides SyncTimes with applicable public IP address, gateway, and mask.

Option 3: Isolated Network within Client Network

SyncTimes connects within the client firewall. Client provides SyncTimes with applicable connection information, including SyncTimes router’s WAN IP address, gateway, and mask.
