Exam room tablets are:
Length: 10 3/4"
Height: 7 1/2"
Width: 1 1/4"
Screen: 10"
Step 1: Make sure the ethernet cable is dropped from the switch in the ceiling to tablet location.
Step 2: With a level, screw in base plate to wall with 4 screws (make sure there is enough room between base plate and opening in wall so that the ethernet cable can move freely under it).
Step 3: Plug the ethernet cable into the "RJ45" port in tablet.
Step 4: Mount tablet on the wall by sliding hole in tablet to baseplate. Make sure it's secure with the hole on the bottom of the tablet as well. (The ethernet cable might require some maneuvering to be able to be put back into the wall so it's not showing).
Step 5: Tablet should turn on automatically indicating that there is power going to the tablet.
*IF RECEIVERS ARE NEEDED*
Step 1: Remove tablet from wall by lifting up and pulling outwards gently. This is for easy access to port.
Step 2: Plug receiver into "USB2.0" port under tablet. Do not plug into "Serial Port".
Step 3: Mount tablet back onto wall.
If your tablet looks like this, then that means the tablet isn't connected to the network
To troubleshoot this, first try taking the tablet carefully off it's mount, unplugging the ethernet cable in the back, and replugging it back in
If that doesn't resolve the issue, contact SyncTimes to power cycle your switch and help troubleshoot with you further
Reach out to SyncTimes if the icons/images on the tablet are gone or if they look corrupted.
If the bootloader screen pops up (see image), you will need to be able to plug in a keyboard and mouse via USB
Once plugged in, navigate to "Wipe data/factory reset" and press enter
Then select "Reboot system now"
After a few minutes the tablet screen should pull up as normal
First, locate the receiver found under the tablet (see picture for reference).
Unplug it and replug it back in to the "USB 3.0" spot. Check to see if a red light starts blinking on the back of the receiver.
Test with a beacon to see if users are being picking up in that room now.
If there isn't a light or if users still aren't being picked up, the receiver will have to be replaced. Contact SyncTimes to get it replaced.
This screen indicates a tablet that hasn't been configured yet.
Reach out to SyncTimes to configure the tablet for the right location. Make sure to have where the tablet is located and the SYNC#### number. The SYNC#### number is found on the green screen
After it is configured, the normal tablet view should pop up.
